Big Names Move to Trade Central - 28th November 2006
MAB Corporation has leased two major showrooms at its Keilor Park Trade Central development to ANZ and John R. Turk Electrical & Data Supplies.
Located in the heart of Melbourne's booming north west corridor, Trade Central is a fully integrated trade precinct with showrooms, corporate office warehouses and warehouses.
ANZ has signed a 10-year lease for the flagship corner building to establish a Business Banking Centre to service local businesses. National electrical wholesaler, John R. Turk, has signed a five-year lease and opened a showroom on the prominently located Keilor Park Drive site.
Mark Lang, ANZ Head of Business Banking VIC/TAS said: "Our decision to open a new business centre in Keilor reflects the growth that's being experienced in Melbourne's northern and western suburbs. ANZ is well positioned to support growth in the area with our local service to business customers."
John R. Turk State Manager, Steve Palmer is also enthusiastic about the business expansion in the Keilor Park area: "As a growth area, Trade Central creates lucrative opportunities for our type of business, along with the high profile main road frontage of our showroom and the strength of the Trade Central name."
The north-west growth corridor has accounted for over 40 percent of new residential construction since 2004. About 80,000 new dwellings will be required to meet population growth the next 15 years, an estimated average annual growth of two percent in comparison with the Melbourne average of 1.4 percent.
Industrial activity has also been strong over the past six years, with the western region averaging over a third of all industrial land consumption across metropolitan Melbourne.
"With its proximity to residential and industrial neighbourhoods, Trade Central is ideally located to service the area's outstanding growth and activity. Businesses recognise its unique proposition as a self-contained precinct delivering a range of specialist products and services to customers", said Will Vorrath, Senior Development Manager at MAB Business Parks.
